NZ Rugby - Wellington City - Wellington

New Zealand Rugby (NZR), one of New Zealand’s largest sporting organisations, has an exciting opportunity available. We are looking for a new Head of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing to join our winning team.

As the Head of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing you’ll lead a team of highly skilled subject matter experts including our ACC Partnerships, RugbySmart, Scientist, and Medical teams. You’ll report directly to the Chief Rugby Officer and work with a wide range of senior rugby stakeholders, including our board and CEO, to implement a nation-wide, fit for purpose vision and strategy for Health, Safety, and Welfare at New Zealand Rugby. This will involve identifying any gaps and working with stakeholders to create solutions to address them.

As a senior leader you’ll have experience in operating at strategic levels within large organisations with nation-wide scope. You’ll possess the ability to directly and indirectly influence stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes and proactively enable a culture of health, safety, and welfare. You’ll be comfortable leading groups effectively through change and ensuring that new practices are well embedded into BAU. This is a great opportunity to showcase your know-how, and work towards enhancing the wellbeing and engagement of NZR’s people.

In return, you will receive a host of benefits and enjoy a culture and working environment where people are passionate about the game, the community and social causes and each other. We value diversity and pride ourselves in our inclusive culture; we’re certified with the Rainbow Tick.

If this sounds like you, then don’t delay! Submit your covering letter and CV through the link below.

The ideal candidate must obtain a clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check and all applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Applications close Tuesday 5th November 2019 at 5pm.
