The Authority is a Crown entity, responsible for the safety and security of New Zealand’s civil aviation system. The Authority has two business arms – the regulatory arm, which is responsible for the safety oversight of the civil aviation system, and the security arm (the Aviation Security Service) which provides aviation security services at airports across New Zealand
We have created a new position - Manager Programme Monitoring and Coordination who will be responsible for ensuring that project timelines, budgeting accountabilities and reporting requirements are met.
Avsec is entering a significant period of change driven by the development of multiple projects, including a variety of technical requirements that will drive changes to how we work.
With the high level of change and diversity of projects the business requires a Manager Programme Monitoring to provide a strategic overview and surety to the ELT of progress and that links between working groups is strong.
The Manager Programme Monitoring and Coordination will report on Avsec’s programme of work to ensure any gaps are identified, risks have been mitigated, and the operationalised outcomes are fit for purpose.
This newly created role will be responsible for ensuring that project timelines, budgeting accountabilities and reporting requirements are met.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Posess previous programme management experience/ or 5 years senior project management experience and are looking to take looking for the next step.
- You will also posess significant experience in programme management roles managing programmes of work specifically focusing on asset management and business change.
- Sound skills in estimating and planning, resource management and budget management.
- Experience in working within a defined set of standards, practices and governance.
