Our Theatre Sterile Services Unit (TSSU) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated person interested in working in our busy theatre sterilising department on a permanent basis. Relevant qualifications and/or experience as a technician or similar experience is required. It would be preferable if the applicant is familiar with ASNZS4187 2014 and GENCA Standards which guide the practice of sterile and Endoscopy Technicians in New Zealand.
This role is offered at 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) and will be part of a close-knit team that supports the efficiency of surgeries by providing the necessary tools needed in a very busy theatre environment, made up of 6 operating theatres and two day surgery theatres.

The ideal candidate would have an open Polytech Sterilising Technology qualification and/or experience in instrument reprocessing including flexible endoscopes.
