Southland District Council - Invercargill - Southland
Are you driven to provide excellence in customer service and support to our Southland communities?
Southland District Council is a customer-centric organisation working together for a better Southland. As a local authority we administer the largest land area in New Zealand. We are committed to providing our communities with the very best in services no matter what their location. To this end we have 7 Offices throughout our district ensuring that the vital link between our communities and Council is maintained.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for delivering excellent customer service, loves being on the road, engaging with new people and has a manner that radiates a friendly helpful attitude to join our team of professional customer support partners and librarians based in our township of Winton. This opportunity also involves driving our mobile library and visiting many of our small communities as a representative of Council so experience driving heavy vehicles would be a plus.
Our Customer Support Partners and librarians aim to provide first point of call resolution for our organisation so that means they need to know our business inside and out. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a customer service/front counter based role, be a quick learner, interested in library services, able to think on their feet, experienced in the management of money, system savvy with proven competency in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes and above all else be able to align themselves with our organisational values of Taking Ownership, Being Proud to Belong, Creating Opportunities and Working Together.
In return we recognise that staff are our most valuable asset. We believe in supporting them in their training and development, having competitive remuneration packages which are benchmarked against market rates, providing the best of equipment and technology and an environment which enables personal growth.
If this sounds like the role for you then we want to hear from you. Don’t delay visit www.southlanddc.govt.nz/vacancies to download a position description and apply online.
