We are looking to appoint a part time fixed term administrator for a period of 7 months who can work with a diverse range of people and who is interested in the contribution they can make within the H2040 & Partnership Development team.  This is an exciting opportunity to continue to help us ensure we are delivering the best service to our community and to reflect the richness and diversity of the community and showcase all that is great about the Horowhenua.

You will be based at the main Council building on Oxford Street and will work closely with both staff and the public while taking care of a wide range of administrative duties. You’ll need to be versatile and systematic in your approach.

This role will suit someone who enjoys a fast paced environment, and strives towards customer service excellence, complimented by outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. As the successful applicant you will be comfortable presenting both to individuals or groups through both written, oral and visual media.   As the ideal candidate, you will also have an advanced knowledge on the principles of customer care and services, including customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

 This is a part time position (30 hours per week) to provide assistance with processing grant applications and payments, supporting meetings and workshops which includes set up and minute taking where needed.  The role will also be responsible for maintaining databases and meeting registers and will play a significant role in circulating information to networks along with accounts and payments and general administrative processes.
