We are looking for someone to join our team and be a “face of Villa Maria” for the Waikato. For this part-time Wine Ambassador role we are looking for someone who is vibrant, keen to learn and who has fantastic manners and people skills. If this is you – please keep reading!

About the role

You will be travelling between stores, predominantly supermarkets, to stock shelves, build displays and ensure our products are well presented in store. You will also be a champion of our brand and family of wines by running wine tastings onsite. There will be plenty to learn and know about our wines, and you will receive plenty of training to help you succeed.  If you are passionate about wine and love our brand, then you are already at a good start!

There are early starts, therefore you will need your own reliable transport to get to your stores and set up your displays.  Split shifts may also be required as most of the tastings are in the afternoons or evenings.  Hours for this role will be 20 - 25 per week and the main working days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday then in store tastings from Wednesday till Saturday afternoon.  As you will be lifting boxes of wine, you will need to be physically fit.

About you

You are someone who is not only passionate about wine, but also have high customer service standards.  You are well presented, love interacting with people, a great communicator and are self-motivated, with excellent time management skills.  It goes without saying that you are also reliable and punctual, and understand the importance of showing up.

As a prerequisite of this role, you will need to provide your own computer or laptop and have internet access.  You must be competent using Microsoft Office Suites as you will be logging notes and sales information that will need to be sent to your manager regularly.

Full training will be provided, so while previous merchandising or sales/retail experience would be a bonus, we are primarily looking for personality and a great attitude.
