About the role:

Due to the expanded growth of our operations in Napier we now have a permanent part-time position available for a suitably skilled individual to maintain and service our equipment. The equipment is primarily used in the loading and unloading of ships and involves a variety of lifting appliances, wires, chains and slings. In our business these individuals are called Equipment Coordinators.

The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, compliance and accurate record keeping of all equipment we have on each of our sites. It is the Equipment Coordinators role to liaise daily with the Operational Management Team to ensure the appropriate equipment is allocated and delivered to each vessel and then later serviced and maintained.

The role may also require minor on-the-job repairs and/or the contracting out of equipment for repair.

The successful candidate would ideally have engineering experience or come from a trade background and being a part-time role, it would most likely suit individuals who are retired or semi-retired.

The suitable candidate would also be given full training in lifting and rigging and ideally have experience with managing hazardous substances [HSNO].

Candidates need to hold a Class 2 license, OSH Forklift Certificate and F Endorsement.
