The Cloud, Security & Infrastructure Manager role will be responsible for delivery of systems and services across all campuses in the Bay of Plenty. The role is both stimulating and multi-dimensional and the successful applicant will have experience in both the technical and management arena.  You should have a solid understanding of Cloud technologies and Security protocols.  This role will manage up to 7 permanent staff and a number of consultants from the various partners we work with.  This is a demanding and exciting role which we expect to deliver a high quality solution and services to meet both local and regional needs.

This role can be based at our Mokoia campus or Windermere campus and you may be required to work across the campuses from time to time.

Reporting to the Head of IT this role will contribute significantly to delivering the IT Strategic Goals and enabling the digital transformation opportunities that the organisation is seeking by:

  • Innovating and striving to improve the digital experience for staff and students
  • Supporting and enabling easier access to systems, so that data can be used as a strategic asset
  • Ensure connectivity to systems and services from any campus is easy and supports mobility
  • Support systems that provide stakeholder engagement
  • Support the adoption of modern systems, allowing for greater collaboration and mobility
  • Develop staff capability with new technologies in the cloud and security arena
  • Ensure that there is a balance between innovation versus traditional lights on

Key to your success in this role will be your demonstrated ability to work with the wider IT Team, key stakeholders and academic staff in delivering the right services and systems that meets their business requirements.
