Surf Life Saving NZ Central Region - Wellington City - Wellington
Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is a Not for Profit organisation and the National Association representing 74 Surf Life Saving Clubs. Today a little over 18,500 people are members of SLSNZ that save over 1,000 lives every year. Providing beach patrols on 80 of New Zealand’s busiest beaches each summer is just part of what we do. Being a proactive lifesaving service, sporting organisation and providing a range of education programmes ensures that we keep New Zealand’s favourite playground safe for everyone.
The Lifesaving Manager will support the implementation of SLSNZ’s Lifesaving strategy by coordinating the delivery of national and regional programmes throughout the region. Working closely with other Central Region staff and Surf Life Saving personnel nationally, the position will be a key link between the Regional Management plan and programme delivery.
It is important that the successful candidate has a friendly and approachable manner and is able to build good relationship with clubs, sponsors and other internal and external stake holders in the Central Region. Effective communication skills both written and oral and a commitment to a high standard of customer service are essential for this role.
Surf Life Saving knowledge and experience along with broad experience dealing with Volunteers at a club level would be helpful.
