A new full time permanent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Manager to join our dedicated and collaborative team.   With your strong proven leadership skills and qualified nursing background you will lead the clinical team leaders and provide clinical oversight to our nurses to deliver the very best in high quality specialist palliative care for Hospice Southland patients and their families.

Reporting to the CEO and working alongside the Medical Director, this role is part of the Senior Leadership team who are responsible for overall organisational leadership and execution of Board agreed strategy.  So being highly motivated you will have the drive and energy that influences the development of Palliative Care (both regionally and nationally), deliver on strategies and lead positive change whilst focused on quality and strengthening patient services. 

Passionate about developing people you will be a positive lead in the ongoing development of an our organisational culture whilst being actively involved in clinical education, mentoring, coaching and career progression planning for our exceptional clinical team to contribute to their continued growth and development.

A passion in Palliative Care, coupled with outstanding communication skills, strong organisational abilities and a natural aptitude for leading and developing talented people are crucial.  Post-graduate education in Palliative Care whilst highly desirable is not essential. 

Hospice Southland is the only Palliative Care Specialist Provider for the region of Southland comprising of approximately 100,000 residents and we have a modern Hospice building located within the grounds of Southland Hospital with whom we share a strong working relationship.  Each day we feel privileged about the opportunity we have to provide the very best care for our patients and their families.   We take huge pride from the strong community support we receive which ensures we are empowered to bring this reality.
