In this permanent role, day to day you will play an important part in the security of the port, being the first point of contact for many customers and users for all inward and outward, local and international shipping. You will be responsible for all entry and surveillance on site while situated at the main entrance, but also getting out and about carrying out inspections and patrolling the site. You will be the communication link to ships while in port.
Adaptable, conscientious, diligent and friendly describe you to a tee. You will be able to think on your feet, multi-tasking and prioritising when required. You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, offering only the very best to our team, customers and port users. Ideally you will have experience in security with a qualification preferred and computer skills are an absolute must, with knowledge of the full Microsoft suite. You will also have ability to work shift work (a variety of 12 hour shifts) including weekends and public holidays.
