What will you get?

Your Consultant will write your job advertisement, acknowledge and then screen the applicants that have come in through the advertising that you have chosen.  The best applicants will be telephone screened based on your brief and the top 3 to 5 applicants place into your shortlist for you to view.  You will be provided with an applicant report to help you decide who to interview.  We will arrange the interviews for you, then all you need to do is make your decision on who is right for your business.  We will take care of the rest.  
While we will do our utmost to fulfil your requirements, we do not guarantee that you will find your most ideal candidate through the applicants that come in.  If you are not sure of which advertising channels to use, please ask QJumpers for advice.  Generally, the more places that you advertise, the greater the chances that you will find that right applicant.  

Further costs may be applicable in the following situations: 

  • If you change your requirements partway through the 30-day period
  • If you require a shorter timeframe than 30-days
  • You request extra advertising

What if QJumpers cannot deliver three applicants that match my brief?

The Shortlist service is an extremely low cost service to help save you time.  QJumpers is charging for the service that we are performing – it is not a success based service.  Once you engage our services, you are liable to pay the full price of the service.  
The benefit of this type of model (apart from cost) is that QJumpers will not deliver you a candidate that it feels is not right for the role.  Unlike other recruitment models, it is not in our financial interests that you hire somebody if they are wrong for your business.  
If you are not sure of which advertising channels to use, please ask QJumpers for advice.  Generally, the more places that you advertise, the greater the chances that you will find that right applicant.  If you have any questions, please ask before purchasing the service.  We are more than happy to help.

What if I want more than five people shortlisted or have multiple vacancies to fill?

Who will I deal with and who will keep me informed throughout the process?

QJumpers has a whole team of people dedicated to making your recruitment experience successful and hassle-free.  If you are purchasing the Shortlist service you will have a dedicated Recruitment Consultant who is your first point of contact for any enquiries.  If you are new to QJumpers call our Business Support Centre on 0800 758 673 (0800 QJUMPERS) – we are there to help!

What if I’ve already tried advertising on Seek and / or Trade Me Jobs and haven’t found anyone using those mediums?

Our team are experts in sourcing candidates on-line and we will put together the best mix of job board advertising to suit your vacancy.  If we deem your vacancy ‘hard to fill’ we will discuss and suggest additional advertising with you up-front.

I’d like to see all the applicants for my vacancy, not just those you have selected as ‘most suitable’ – can I have access to the other candidates too?

Our intention is to do all of the hard work for you leaving you to focus your attention on the three most suitable candidates.  For this reason we do not provide you with access to all of the applicants.  Feel free to chat with your Account Manager about this though.  You might prefer to purchase our Filter Service instead.

What does ‘pre-screening’ involve?

The Consultant assigned to your vacancy will review all applicants, evaluate and rank them against your preferred criteria, and telephone interview the best matched candidates.  Suitable candidates are then asked to complete a Declaration Form asking them to disclose any matter which may influence their suitability for employment.

Does the shortlist service include reference checks or any other pre-employment checks?

What if I have applicants drop in their CVs or internal applicants wanting to be considered?

We suggest you direct all applicants to apply on-line via the QJumpers website (we can provide you with a link to refer potential candidates directly to).  We also accept applications via email to support@qjumpers.co.nz.  All applicants will be processed in the same way and be subject to the same evaluation criteria providing a very fair and objective approach regardless of where the candidate has come from.  Just let your Consultant know if you want a particular candidate fast-tracked to your shortlist.

What if I want to employ more than one of the people you provide on the shortlist?

Our commitment is to provide you with a shortlist of the three to five most suitable candidates.  If you choose to employ one person off the shortlist or all, it is fine with us.

What if I don’t want to employ any of the people you provide on the shortlist? / What if I appoint someone off your shortlist but they leave soon after?

What if my requirements change partway through the 30-day period?

If you alter your requirements partway through the process, we may be forced to begin the process again.  In this case a new shortlist service fee would apply.

Do I have to wait until the 30-days is up to get my shortlist?

We understand that good candidates do not stay on the market for long.  For this reason we will deliver you the best candidates as soon as we identify them.  This may mean you are delivered two candidates within the first 10-days with the rest delivered on day 30.  Your Consultant will keep you informed at each stage of the process.

What if I can’t wait 30-days and need someone sooner?

We are happy to agree to a shorter timeframe than 30-days if there are suitable applicants.  Charges may apply as our consultants may need to work outside of normal work hours to meet your deadlines.

What happens if you only find two people for my shortlist?

The Shortlist service is where QJumpers shortlists your applicants on your behalf.  They are your applicants – not QJumpers.  If there are not enough suitable applicants, you will need to consider extra advertising options or other strategies.  Please ask your recruitment consultant for advice as we are always happy to help.  The Shortlist service is an extremely low cost service to help save you time.  QJumpers is charging for the service that we are performing – it is not a success based service.  Once you engage our services, you are liable to pay the full price of the service.

What happens if I employ someone from elsewhere?

Once our Recruitment Consultants have begun the Shortlist process (including writing your job advertisement), you are liable to pay the full price of the service.  The Shortlist service is an extremely low cost service to help save you time.  QJumpers is charging for the service that we are performing – it is not a success based service.  Once you engage our services, you are liable to pay the full price of the service.  
The benefit of this type of model (apart from cost) is that QJumpers will not deliver you a candidate that it feels is not right for the role.  Unlike other recruitment models, it is not in our financial interests that you hire somebody if they are wrong for your business. 

Who owns the applicants?

The applicants are your applicants.  
The only exceptions to this are if applicants are submitted by your approved recruitment agencies through the approved process or if applicants go directly to the QJumpers website and select to enter the QJumpers talent pool.
We do not re-market your applicants to other clients.
