Shift Engineers (2 permanent positions)

Due to a recent restructure of our business we are recruiting 2 permanent full time Shift Engineers, reporting to Engineering and Maintenance Leader.
As Shift Engineer you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Preventive Maintenance Plan and conducting routine maintenance in line with the plan as required to keep the plant fully operational. You will need to have a positive, and effective approach, strong desire to continually improve efficiencies, and ability to work successfully within a team environment.
The role will also require you to undertake the treatment of water for the Boilers and Refrigeration, provide assistance with team problem solving and decision making, technical guidance and support and PLC and troubleshooting. To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven experience working as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing plant.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
- To hold a current welding certification and be proficient and able to demonstrate sound TIG welding techniques
- Proven ability to set up a machine to achieve consistent productivity and effectively perform maintenance diagnostics.
- Have sound knowledge of pneumatic systems, pumps and mechanical seals and the dairy industry valving system.
- To display sound continuous improvement techniques.
Previous experience working within a dairy or food manufacturing plant would be a definite advantage.
Shifts are worked on an 8 rotating basis from week to week covering 24 hours over 5 days. Shifts comprise of a day, afternoon and night shift commencing at 12:00am on the Monday morning and finishing at midnight on Friday night. There is also the requirement to work on weekends, on a roster basis.
