Learning Support Administrator

Skills Active is The Industry Training Organisation (ITO) responsible for promoting, supporting and administrating workplace learning and achievement in Recreation, Sport and Fitness businesses.  We have a strong commitment to Tikanga Maori and biculturalism in our workplace and demonstrate this in our day to day business.

The Learning Support Administrator is responsible for meeting the learning support administration needs of Skills Active in their designated region through providing other staff members including but not restricted to; Business Managers, Learning Support Advisors, Literacy and Numeracy Advisors with accurate and timely administrative support and information to enable them to achieve the required outcomes.

This role involves:

  • Data entry
  • Client relationships
  • Managing databases

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong relationship management, networking, and customer service experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to get along with a wide range of people.
  • A can do, proactive attitude with a demonstrated ability to foster this in others.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and as an active team member.
  • The ability to deliver on tight timeframes, with flexibility to meet competing priorities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Minimum of intermediate level of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
  • Database management experience.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Highly developed administration skills.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A sound understanding of the application of Te Tiriri o Waitangi and an understanding of te reo me ona Tikanga.
  • Knowledge of the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
