This job involves working with the Dentist to prepare instruments and materials for the patients treatment. Ideally someone with experience or training in dental assisting is sought. We are a general practice in which we treat people of all ages including children and we offer a comprehensive range of services. A DA with experience of assisting 4 handed Dentistry and a good working knowledge of the basic procedures and materials used in modern Dentistry sought. Cleaning duties are an important aspect to the job. Stock management and reordering also required. Some reception duties will be required.
It is essential the applicant has excellent written and verbal English. NZ resident or a curent work permit needed. The candidate needs to work autonomously and be a good team player as we are a team of 4 people.
The team consists of a Dentist and a dental hygienist / therapist a receptionist and the DA.
Must be able to help patients relax and build rapport with a variety of people and personalities. We aim to treat our patients comprehensively and provide quality of service and care for every person. We are computerised and operate Practice Works dental software.
Hours would be Mondays to Thursdays (Some negotiation regarding hours for Fridays) regular hours are 8am to 5pm with a late night on Monday until 7pm currently.
Anticipated start date could be Monday 11th July 2011 or soon after this date.
